Cambridge UBSS provide Levels 2 & 3 of the Institute of Animal Technology qualification, as distance learning or as class-based learning.

The Laboratory Animal Technology Training & Education group at Labcorp (formally known as Covance) have been providing IAT qualifications in their various forms for over 30 years.  We currently provide the IAT Diploma in Animal Science at Technology at both Level 2 and 3.

Red Kite Veterinary Consultants are a training provider delivering the highest quality IAT training for animal technicians/technologists at both Level 2 and 3. Our interactive courses are designed to fully support candidates in their learning journey, enabling them to provide the highest levels of care and welfare to animals used in scientific research. Our staff have over 80 years combined industry knowledge and experience to enhance the learning experience.

The Crick was formed in 2015, and in 2016 we moved into our brand new state-of-the-art building in central London which brings together 1500 scientists and support staff working collaboratively across disciplines, making it the biggest biomedical research facility under a single roof in Europe. The Crick is dedicated to ensuring we deliver the best possible training and education to our staff and the IAT Level 2 and 3 courses are core to our early career training programmes for animal technologists. We do not currently offer courses to external candidates but please contact us if you have any questions regarding how the courses are managed and delivered in-house.

Diplomas Levels 4, 5 and 6

The College of Laboratory Animal Science & Technology are a non-profit course provider that delivers Higher Education (HE) qualifications designed for those working with animals in research, including Animal Technologists, Registered Veterinary Professionals, and Senior Researchers.

Animal Care and Welfare Assistant Apprenticeship Level 2

Animal Technologist Level 3

Our established and award-winning apprenticeship provision works with over 700 employers across the Leeds City Region – from large public sector organisations like the NHS and city council to small independent businesses. We also work with a number of organisations nationally. We collaborate with employers to meet their business needs and match them with high quality apprentices. The apprenticeships offered cover the Level 2 Animal Welfare Assistant and Level 3 Animal Technologist; we are the only provider to offer this Level 3 apprenticeship nationally.
