The Level 4 Diploma in Laboratory Animal Science & Technology covers 4 separate learning units. Each unit will equip you with valuable skills for the workplace, and develop your research and writing skills in order to prepare you for levels 5 – 6.

The Level 5 Diploma continues on from Level 4. Covering 4 individual learning units, Level 5 will ensure you are well versed in animal welfare law and can apply this knowledge in practice. You will be introduced to the importance of good experimental design, and explore the subjects of toxicology, and genetic alteration in animals.

The Level 6 Diploma continues on from Level 5. The highest level of our Diplomas will cover 4 individual learning units in detail, the largest being the Project Planning and Project unit where you are given the opportunity to develop your own research project with the guidance of our expert tutors.

Issuing of Diploma Certificates

The Institute for Animal Technology prints diploma certificates four times a year, specifically in February, May, August, and November. These print runs include only the submissions from providers who can evidence that their students have successfully completed the relevant diplomas within the previous three months. This ensures that the awarding process remains current and accurate. It is important to note that certificates will only be issued to students who are officially registered with the institute and have paid the required registration fee. This policy ensures that all administrative and financial requirements are met before the issuance of diplomas.
